Our Services

Cardiac rehab that builds confidence as it builds strength.

Personalized cardiac rehabilitation for patients recovering from heart events, cardiac surgery, or living with cardiovascular disease. Gentle, monitored progression — every step under one-on-one care.

Overview

Recovery and strength after a cardiac event.

A heart attack, bypass surgery, or new cardiac diagnosis is life-changing — and the recovery journey can feel uncertain. Cardiac rehabilitation is one of the most effective interventions for patients recovering from cardiac events, with strong evidence showing reduced rehospitalization rates, improved exercise capacity, and better long-term outcomes.

At Caring Hands Rehab, we provide outpatient cardiac rehab focused on safe, monitored exercise progression and education. We work with your cardiologist to design a program that respects your medical status while progressively building the cardiovascular fitness, strength, and confidence you need.

Our cardiac program is ideal for patients who have completed Phase II hospital-based cardiac rehab and are ready for community-based exercise — or patients who need a more individualized, supervised approach than a typical gym environment offers.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions.

What's the difference between Phase II and Phase III cardiac rehab?

Phase II is hospital-based cardiac rehab typically immediately following a cardiac event — with full medical monitoring including continuous EKG. Phase III is outpatient maintenance rehab in a community or clinic setting after Phase II is complete. Our program is appropriate for Phase III patients and selected Phase II patients.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

For cardiac rehabilitation, yes — we require a referral from your cardiologist or primary physician. This ensures we have your medical history, current restrictions, and any specific protocols your physician wants us to follow.

Is cardiac rehab safe?

Cardiac rehab is one of the most evidence-supported interventions in cardiovascular medicine, with very low complication rates when properly supervised. The key is appropriate progression and ongoing monitoring — which is exactly what we provide.

How long does cardiac rehab take?

Most cardiac rehab programs run 12 weeks, typically with 2–3 sessions per week. After completing formal rehab, we provide a home and community program for long-term maintenance.

Is cardiac rehab covered by Medicare?

Yes. Medicare covers outpatient cardiac rehabilitation for qualifying diagnoses including post-MI, post-CABG, post-PCI, post-valve surgery, stable angina, heart failure with reduced ejection fraction, and others. We verify coverage before your first visit.

Can I still benefit if my cardiac event was years ago?

Absolutely. Cardiac rehab benefits patients at any stage — including those years past their initial event who have become deconditioned. It's never too late to start.
