Neurological rehab that helps your brain heal.

Specialized therapy for stroke recovery, Parkinson's disease, MS, balance disorders, and other neurological conditions. Built on the science of neuroplasticity — your brain's ability to rewire itself.

Overview

Recovery after a neurological event.

Neurological rehabilitation helps patients regain function after a stroke, brain injury, or neurological diagnosis — and it manages progressive conditions like Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis. The work is grounded in neuroplasticity: your brain's remarkable capacity to form new pathways and adapt, even after significant injury.

Our therapists work with adults of all ages on the abilities that matter most — walking, balance, coordination, fine motor control, and daily tasks that come back slowly but surely with consistent, skilled practice. Sessions blend physical therapy, occupational therapy, and education.

Because neurological recovery is often longer and more gradual than orthopedic care, we emphasize the relationship — same therapist, every visit — so we can track subtle progress and adapt your plan as you change.

Our approach

Neuroplasticity-driven recovery.

We use the principles of how the brain learns and rewires to drive meaningful, lasting recovery.

Gait training

Step-by-step retraining of safe, efficient walking patterns — often with assistive devices early on and progressing toward independence.

Balance & vestibular

Specific exercises and maneuvers (including the Epley maneuver for BPPV) to restore stability and reduce dizziness.

Motor relearning

High-repetition, task-specific practice that drives neuroplastic change — the brain learns through doing.

Family education

Training family members in safe transfers, home exercises, and how to support recovery between visits.

What to expect

Your neurological recovery journey.

A flexible, long-term partnership built around real progress.

01

Thorough evaluation

Comprehensive assessment of strength, coordination, balance, gait, cognition, and the specific daily tasks affected by your condition.

02

Goal-driven plan

We work with you (and your family) to identify the most meaningful goals — walking unassisted, returning to driving, climbing stairs — and build a plan around them.

03

Skilled treatment

Repetitive, task-specific practice paired with manual facilitation, balance training, and adaptive strategies.

04

Home & community integration

Practicing skills in real-world contexts — getting in and out of the car, navigating uneven surfaces, returning to community activities.

05

Long-term support

For progressive conditions, periodic tune-ups keep function strong as needs evolve.

Why Caring Hands

Why patients choose us for neuro rehab.

Specialized care in a setting that supports the long, hopeful work of neurological recovery.

Same therapist throughout

Neurological recovery is a relationship. Your therapist learns your body, your goals, and your subtle gains over time.

Private, calm setting

Quiet, focused treatment rooms reduce sensory overload — especially important for stroke and TBI recovery.

Hope-centered care

We believe in your recovery — and we celebrate every gain, no matter how small.

Medicare & most insurance

Coverage for neurological rehab is broad, including Medicare Part B for most outpatient services.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions.

How long does stroke rehabilitation take?

Stroke recovery is highly individual. Many patients show significant gains in the first 3–6 months after stroke, but improvement can continue for years with consistent therapy. We work with patients at any stage — even years post-stroke — and often see meaningful progress.

Can physical therapy help Parkinson's disease?

Absolutely. Specialized PT (including approaches like LSVT BIG) has strong evidence for improving mobility, balance, and quality of life in Parkinson's. Regular therapy can also slow functional decline and reduce fall risk.

What is vestibular rehabilitation?

Vestibular rehab is specialized therapy for dizziness, vertigo, and balance disorders. For BPPV, we use canalith repositioning maneuvers (like the Epley) that often resolve symptoms in 1–3 visits. For other vestibular conditions, we use habituation and adaptation exercises.

Do you treat patients with chronic neurological conditions?

Yes. For conditions like MS, Parkinson's, and post-stroke complications, ongoing therapy is valuable for maintaining function. Many insurance plans cover periodic "tune-up" visits.

Will Medicare cover neurological rehabilitation?

Yes. Medicare Part B covers medically necessary outpatient physical and occupational therapy. There's no longer a hard cap on annual therapy benefits, though some documentation is required for sustained therapy.

Can family members come to therapy sessions?

We strongly encourage it, especially early on. Family education is one of the most important parts of neurological recovery, and we want your support system to know how to help you safely at home.
